About
Originally from New Hampshire, Hazel Froling is currently based out of Pittsburgh, where she is pursuing her Bachelor’s in Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University. She is in her fourth year and is expecting to graduate in the spring of 2026.
Her interest in architecture stems from a deep love for woodworking and carpentry. After summers working in residential construction and a background in woodworking, she began university, where she applies her knowledge of materiality and building techniques to her academic projects.
Recently, she has become increasingly interested in computational structural design and architectural robotics. In the future, she hopes to continue to combine her passion for craft with her interest in digital fabrication processes and computational workflows.
Hazel is passionate about designing spaces that are sustainable, affordable, and accessible to all. She enjoys working with others and hopes to bring her love for craftsmanship and construction into her career.
